Job Description

 I.     Primary Function

Allied’s Solar Division supplies solar panels, mounting hardware, inverters and accessories to qualified contractors for both commercial and residential projects. With hundreds of distribution locations nationwide, we have the best combination of roofing, solar and delivery capabilities in the nation. We feel strongly that working with Allied for your supply of Solar PV panels, inverters, mounting hardware and accessories gives solar contractors and installers a competitive edge. 

An Outside Sales Representative primary function is to acquire new business by developing potential new customer relationships, maintaining an active call back list, and creating and following-up referrals from existing customer base.

II.    Key Responsibilities

  • Works to establish new business opportunities with potential customers through cold calling, telemarketing, provided leads, networking and client/associate referrals
  • Works to establish add-on business with existing customers
  • Maintains an organized and easily accessible filling system (sales leads, prospective business, new business activity, add-on business activity, forecasting, quota details, etc.)
  • Achieves monthly and yearly quota requirements
  • Maintains up-to-date knowledge base of entire product line.
  • Attends industry and product related training programs, conferences, seminars and educational forums
  • Works closely with inside sales representatives to assure customer satisfaction and business accountability
  • Assists branch manager in developing new business ideas and accompanying marketing materials to achieve sales objectives
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by Branch Manager
  • Works to build long term relationships with customer base
  • Quotes accurate prices in a timely manner to customers
  • Performs other duties as assigned

  • Sales experience (preferably in the Solar products industry)
  • Experience in a team-based environment
  • Experience in handling multiple projects/tasks at once
  • Experience in a position that deals directly with customers (front-line)
  • Must have a valid driver license
